There isn’t much here at the moment as I have better things to be doing, such as finishing a PhD thesis, catching up with some academic papers and completing my subspecialty training in reproductive medicine and surgery in Newcastle.

I believe strongly in involving and engaging patients and clinicians with research. During my PhD, I led the Miscarriage Priority Setting Partnership. This, for the first time, brought women who have experienced miscarriage, others affected by miscarriage and clinicians who care for them, together to develop priorities for future research.

My skills and interests also include three-dimensional ultrasound and the treatment of couples with subfertility and recurrent miscarriage.

I was Chair of RCOG Trainees’ Committee during the junior doctors’ contract dispute and co-founded the national trainee research collaborative UK-ARCOG.

Occasionally, I tweet from @DrMattPrior.
